Our Story

Hi, I'm Arun, founder of Ignition Krungthep. This brand has been long in the making, though I never intended to actually turn Ignition Krungthep into a full-blown brand.

I started Ignition Krungthep as something more personal, as I was tired of paying high prices on streetwear apparel. I discovered how to make my own clothing, and paired with my longstanding experience in the digital arts, I began making my own streetwear to add to my wardrobe. I no longer saw any justification for buying overpriced streetwear when I could make it better and at a more affordable price.

Friends started catching on and expressed continuous interest in my designs, which eventually pushed me into taking this whole streetwear brand more seriously. So with that, I present Ignition Krungthep. The world's first Thai-influenced streetwear brand.

A big aspect to who I am today comes from my roots in Thai culture. Now in college, I find it harder to maintain a connection to my Thai heritage as compared to when I was back living at home. I've noticed many streetwear brands being influenced by east-Asian culture, but I never saw any southeast-Asian influenced brands, forget Thai-influenced brands. So, I decided to be the change I wanted to see.

For this reason, every piece that is featured in this brand is connected to Thai culture in some way. Nothing on this site is released unless I am completely happy with the design as well as the fabric the design is brought to life on. At the end of the day, my goal is to stay true to the founding principles of this brand, even though I am now sharing it with the world: to create clothing I would want to wear.
